4WD fleet at the mid-way break on the road south from Cloncurry to Mount Elliott. Access to sites on all four days of the tour in Northwest Queensland required 4WD vehicles, rather than a coach. Consequently, the tour hired sufficient mine-equipped, fully air-conditioned 4WD vehicles to accommodate the 20 participants in forward facing seating. On Tuesday 26 February, the group departed Cloncurry just after 7:00 am for the more than 2 hour drive south to Mount Elliott.
