Briefing and discussion at Kansanshi  -  After an early breakfast on Tuesday 6 May, the group boarded the tour bus, and were at the Kansanshi mine gate before 06:45 am, where they were met by James Mwale, Exploration Manager - Kansanshi, First Quantum Minerals, Zambia.   James escorted the group to the Exploration Office, where, after a safety induction, they were given a detailed lecture by Jed Williams (centre rear) of First Quantum Exploration, covering the Kansanshi deposit, its setting, geology, mineralisation, structure and aspects related to exploration.   This briefing, followed by discussion, pictured above, lasted for nearly two hours, before they boarded mine buses to proceed to the pits.
