These are polymetallic volcanogenic hosted massive sulphide deposits as pyrite-pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite-sphalerite ore that were deposited directly on the Archaean Waite Andesite, deposited within the Noranda Cauldron. The host volcanic succession is dominated by massive andesitic flows, dacitic flows, gabbro and dioritic intrusions that are probably subvolcanics. In many locations, the andesite are variably chloritised, sericitised and pyritic.
